Inflation ??? CdeR

Citing Shadowstats, Einhorn noted inflation calculated under the 1980 methodology would be 9%, as opposed to the less the 2% it is today. The lower real rates will fuel inflation and bad behavior and create bubbles. This easy policy of bubble bailouts is an unhealthy cycle.

Fed’s Lacker says his support waning for “extended period” - “A couple weeks ago I was still comfortable with that language. Decreasingly so,” he said. “That’s where I am now, just sort of marginally comfortable with that language.” Bloomberg

These are very broad based, and include chain stores as well as mom & pops and Ebay, which may explain why these numbers are flat vs. what we are hearing from public chains which benefit from small stores disappearing.
